President Bola Tinubu has approved the reinstatement of Professor Nenibarini Zabbey as the Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP).
According to a press statement signed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, on Monday, 15th July 2024, the President reached the decision following a performance review of the HYPREP Project Coordinator and concluded that the Project Coordinator is fit to discharge his functions in accordance with the regulations guiding the execution of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP).
“By the directive of the President, the reinstatement of the HYPREP Project Coordinator takes immediate effect,” the statement added.
In another statement by Ngelale on Saturday, 13th July 2024, President Tinubu also approved the appointment of Dr Mainasara Umar Kogo as the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
Dr Kogo is a seasoned lawyer and analyst in the fields of law, security, economy, politics, and international diplomacy.
“The President anticipates professionalism, integrity, and fidelity to the nation in the discharge of the functions of the Office of the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT),” the statement read in part.
