FG increases Unity Colleges’ fees to over N300,000 per term

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Education, has increased the school fees of all Federal Unity Colleges (FUCs) up to N386,000 per term.

This was disclosed by Hajia Binta Abdulkadir, Director, Senior Secondary Education, in a letter (ADF/120/DSSE/1) to all Principals of Federal Unity Colleges on 22nd August 2024.

According to the letter, the boarding fee for boarders, exercise books and uniform fee for JSS 1 and SS1 affected the increment to N386,000 per term.

APPROVED FEES/CHARGES FOR FEDERAL UNITY COLLEGES (1st TERM) FOR SS1 STUDENTS

“Please be informed that the ministry has approved only the under-listed fees/charges for all federal unity Colleges;

1. Tuition fee – N97,000

2. Boarding fee – N120,000 (Boarders only)

3. Uniform – N50,000 (JSS1 & SS1)

4. Textbook – N45,000

5. Exercise book – N13,000 (Per Session)

6. Medical – N10,000

7. Stationery – N5,000

8. Vocational – N2,000

9. Sport – N5,000

10. Clubs and Societies – N2,000

11. Utilities – N5,000




12. Security – N2,000

13. Extra Lesson – N10,000

14. Website/e-Result/ICT – N5,000

15. Skool Media – N5,000 (Once a Session)

16. Insurance – N10,000

TOTAL – N386,000
