C’River NYCN Chairman promises entrepreneurship, wealth creation for youths

The Cross River State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), His Youthfulness Obol Comr. Emmanuel Olayi, has revealed his administration’s readiness to make the chapter of the Council entrepreneurial for wealth creation for young people.

The youth boss whom during his thanksgiving service held at his home church, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Alumonye in Bekwarra Local Government Area, on Sunday 8th September, started with reverencing God for granting him victory during the election that led to his emergence as State Chairman of NYCN in Cross River State, also expressed deep appreciation to his wife, parent and family members for the support he has been enjoying from them.

He further appreciated the youths of the state for giving him their mandate, referring to it as the mandate of the people which he will handle with utmost precedence through running an administration of inclusivity that will boost the council from its present level to an entrepreneurial height that will give young Cross Riverians numerous opportunities to create and attain wealth.

Different personalities who spoke
at the event testified of Obol Comr. Olayi’s prodigious personality and ingeniousness, commending him for his humility, resourcefulness and intentional commitment to societal development, while they all assured him of their support to ensure his alluring vision for the council is brought to fruition and established.

Part of the event was the unveiling of the signage post, Comr. Olayi donated to the primary school in his community, Community Primary School, Olumonye, support to church building and a medical outreach that examined and gave medicines to sick – young and aged people in the community.

Obol Comr. Olayi, who was filled with elation, concluded by appreciating his guests and family members for joining him in the thanksgiving service and also supporting him to contribute to the church building project, prayed for God’s blessings on their lives and families while seeking their continued cooperation with him for the success of the Council.

Dignitaries who graced the event include Prof. Zana Akpagu, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar (UNICAL); Royal Fathers of Obanliku Local Government Area; Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo, former member of the Federal House of Representatives; Mr John Owan, a member of the UNICAL Governing Council; and Hon. Charles Omang, Member Representing Bekwarra State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly.

Others are Executives and Members of NYCN across the State; Igbo Community; Alhaji Zake Abdul, Leader of Hausa Fulani youths in the State; and many others from religious institutions, medical, academic, political, private and government sectors.
