Some Nigerians at Polling Unit 033 Ward 016, beside Karu Health Centre in the FCT have expressed the desire for positive change as citizens vote to elect President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor.
Mrs Bunmi Olowolabi, a voter, said she was happy to cast her vote to elect the right person to succeed Buhari as president.
Olowolabi said that the election is desirous as Nigerians deserve a positive change.
“We need a potential leader who will listen to the cry of the masses.
“This is because Nigerians are suffering; nothing comes easily to the masses.
“We need a leadership that will have human feelings and human face.
“We do not want policies that are not beneficial to the people, or that bring hardship and suffering to Nigerians.
“We want policies that will bring economic development, peace, tranquility, and the security of lives and property in the country,” she said.
Mr Austine Orji, another voter, said the Nigerian people deserve the best and that the suffering should not continue.
“We can not continue like this; the suffering is just too much to bear.
“We need a change for good. We need a Nigeria that will belong to the people and not one that will make the people feel caged and cannot express themselves,” he said.
He, therefore, called for the enthronement of leadership that will prioritise the interests and well-being of Nigerians.
Another voter, Mr John Yamput, called for a new leadership that will turn the fortunes of the country around for the benefit of Nigerians.
“We need a great Nigeria that will flourish, with a leader that is reliable, incorruptible, and dependable.
“This is what the new leadership be,” he said.
