The Cross River State Representative at the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC Board, Rt. Hon. Orok Duke has distributed rice and N400,000 cash to Canaan Table Tennis players in the state.
The distribution, CONVERSEER gathered took place at the Canaan Table Tennis Club section of the UJ Esuene Stadium on Tuesday.
The gesture was supported by the state governor, Sen. Bassey Otu, and was part of the season of sweetness mantra by the governor to ensure everyone feels the sweetness of this administration.
Duke who is also the chairman of Canaan Table Tennis Club Ltd, has managed 4 generations of players (both boys and girls), including Offiong Edem, Funke Oshonaike, Cecilia Otu and Janet Effiom.

Others are Vivian Oku, Idorenyin Udoaka, Ofonime Ebong, Etim Orok and Solomon Mathias.
They have featured and won gold, silver and bronze medals in national and international competitions, including the National Sports Festival, the Olympics and several others.
They have also featured and won accolades in several countries, including Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Japan, and Egypt.
