4 docked for allegedly stealing building materials in Ibadan

Security guard docked for allegedly stealing timber planks

Four men, Moses Adekunle, 30; Saheed Moshood, 35; Abiodun Olarenwaju, 35 and Dele Faremi, 53, on Thursday appeared in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly stealing building materials.

The four whose residential addresses were not provided were charged with conspiracy and theft.

The Prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendants allegedly committed the offence on March 13, at about 10. 00 a.m, around Olorunsogo, Molete area, Ibadan.

Amusan alleged that the four and others at large, on the date, stole building materials including iron rods, bags of cement valued at N652, 500 and binding wires worth N54, 000.

He said the materials belonged to one Habeeb Raji while the offences contravened the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Mrs O. A Akande, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100, 000 each with one surety in like sum.

She adjourned the case until May 15 for hearing (NAN)
