Cross River’s Patrick Egba makes history as sole FIFA-Badge referee

Patrick Egba has secured the prestigious title of being the sole FIFA-Badge referee hailing from Cross River State.

A native of Ikom local government area of the state, Egba’s dedication to the sport has earned him this remarkable recognition.

Expressing his gratitude, Mr Egba extended heartfelt thanks to the Minister of Sports Development, Sen. John Owan-Enoh, acknowledging the significant role the minister played in fostering sports development in Nigeria, specifically in Cross River State.

The newly appointed FIFA referee expressed sincere appreciation for the Minister’s continuous support, fatherly guidance, and invaluable advice throughout his journey in the world of sports.

Sen. Owan-Enoh, in response to Egba’s accomplishment, warmly congratulated the newly appointed FIFA referee.

The Minister commended Egba for his commitment to the sport and expressed optimism about the positive impact he would have in his new role.

Enoh, known for his support for sports, took a moment to recognise Egba’s achievement as to the growing sports culture in Cross River state. “Egba’s potential will bring honour to the state on the international stage,” he said.
