Governor Otu appoints new CRIRS Chairman, 5 others

Governor Bassey Otu has appointed and confirmed Prince Edwin Okon, as the Chairman of the Cross River State Internal Revenue Service, CRIRS.

Otu made the appointment via a statement signed by Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh, Secretary to the State Government, SSG, on Monday, 11 March 2024, with reference number: Our Ref: SSG/GSA/102/Vol.VI/333.

The Governor also appointed and confirmed Sir Maurice Effiwat as the Acting Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission.

According to the statement, Otu also appointed and confirmed Mr Nsa Gill as the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.

The Governor also reassigned Mr Emmanuel Ogbeche as the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor (Abuja).

He also confirmed and appointed Mr Linus Obogo as the Special Adviser on Media & Publicity.

Otu further confirmed and appointed Mr Abang Sylvester Otu as the State Chief of Protocol.

“The appointments and confirmations are with immediate effect.

“His Excellency heartily congratulates the new Appointees and wishes them success in their new portfolios,” the statement added.
