“My mission to the ancient city of Ibadan seemed daunting yet at the end of the day it was surmountable. A simple assignment just became a mission and God led the way as always. The awards are just a sign of the many good things to come. God is faithful and He alone is worthy of praise,” parts of his Facebook post reads.

The EFCC detective maintained “I thank my team (the Versatile Team EGS Ibadan) for working very smartly and not only winning big but setting a global record. Even at that, we will continue to scale new heights. To me, it is both a pleasure and a rare privilege to have been guided by God and His Mighty Hand to mentor a team of dedicated men and women. Congratulations officers.”

A regular award-winner, Dr Nkpe holds a record-setting First Class Honour degree from the University of Jos (UJ) from where he joined the service of the EFCC more than 16 years ago.

He hails from Utugwang in Obudu local government area of Cross River State.
