9 candidates cleared for Thursday’s Enugu State FA elections

The 2023 Electoral Committee of the Enugu State Football Association (ENSFA) says it has screened and deemed nine candidates fit to contest for positions in Thursday’s elections.

Francis Ugwu, Secretary of the Committee and also ENSFA Secretary, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that from the list of candidates, the positions of Chairman and Vice-Chairman have only one candidate each for now.

and may not be contested for on the said date.

“Having completed the sale of forms and screening in line with the electoral guidelines, nine candidates have been screened, found fit and eligible.

“They have been cleared by the electoral committee to contest the May 18 elections in the following positions:

“Tony Ugwu for chairman, Nnonah Monday for vice-chairman, P. I. Okeke for member, Dominic Nwobodo for member and Foster Chime for member.

“Others are: Abuchi Anueyiagu for member, Uzo Boniface for member, Chidi Ugwu for member and Okwudili Celestine for member.”

NAN reports that the election is scheduled to take place at the Sports Club in Nsukka.(NAN)
