People of Opuama and Polobobou communities in Egbema Kingdom, Warri North LGA of Delta State, the host communities of OML 40, are protesting against Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) and Elcrest Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited for refusing to implement the Petroleum Industry Act.
NPDC/Elcrest JV are the operators of oil mining lease (OML) 40.
According to NigerDelta Insider, the communities said they appointed two representatives, named Alhaji Emmanuel Omoko and Yoemi Magnus, to discuss with these companies but the representatives have instead hijacked everything and are acting fraudulently.

They are calling on the Nigerian Government, the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and other top petroleum authorities Nationwide to hear their cry and come to their aid.
