NDDC commissions 6km road, 600m bridge in Akwa Ibom

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) commissioned a 6-kilometre road and also a 600-metre bridge in Akwa Ibom State.

The road project is tagged, ‘lko-Atabrikang-Akata-Opolom-Ikot Inwang-Okoroutip-lwochang Road’ and links 20 communities of Ibeno Local Government Area in the State.

“Today, the people of Ibeno have another access road to civilisation. It was difficult before to access these areas, but today, you can access about 20 communities separated by the Qua-lboe River,” Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio said at the commissioning.

Also present was the Niger Delta Minister, Engr. A. Momoh.

The project was on Tuesday, 28th May 2024, in Ibeno L.G.A of Akwa-Ibom State.
