Abak chairman meets political parties, advocates for unity, inclusive governance

Abak, Akwa Ibom State – The Executive Chairman of Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Hon. (Mrs) Ime Charles, has reaffirmed her commitment to an inclusive and people-focused governance aimed at driving development across all parts of Abak Local Government Area.

Hon. Charles made this statement during a meeting with representatives from all political parties within the area on Thursday, 31st, October 2024, at the Council Hall, Abak.

The Chairman emphasised her administration’s dedication to fostering unity and cooperation, aligning with Governor Umo Eno’s vision of harmony and peaceful coexistence among political factions.

Reiterating her B.E.S.T. agenda—Building infrastructure, empowerment, security, and transparency, Hon. Charles highlighted this framework as the cornerstone of her administration’s mission.

“With the elections behind us, we are united in our duty to serve one Local Government. Our people deserve to see the impact of their votes through tangible developmental projects across all wards of our local government area,” she enthused.

In his remarks, the Chapter Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Akaninyene Ntia, commended opposition representatives for their attendance and expressed hope for productive collaboration with Hon. Charles’ administration.

He further assured that, with their unwavering support, the Chairman and her cabinet would work diligently to ensure the growth and development of Abak.

Hon. Charles was accompanied by key officials, including the Vice Chairman, Dr Mfon Udoudom, the Secretary of Council, Arc. Gift Umoh, Engr. Iniobong Akpan amongst others.
