Residents of Abuja, the Federal Capital of Nigeria have approached the Federal High Court to stop the swearing-in of the president-elect, Bola Tinubu on May 29.
CONVERSEER gathered that the residents sought the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today, Monday (May 15).
The Residents argue that the President-elect didn’t obtain the needed 25% from them.
However, the Court adjourned the suit filed by the FCT residents to stop the swearing-in of Tinubu to Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
According to Maazi Ezeoke, the court wants to determine the issues of locus standi, jurisdiction and, if the case is already at the presidential tribunal.

Recall that Tinubu’s victory at the February 25 presidential poll is being questioned and the matter is in the election tribunal court.
