The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched the Renewed Hope Ambassadors of Nigeria in the Directorate of Civil Society Organisations of its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

Sen. Mohammed Hassan, the Director of the directorate said this when he inaugurated the ambassadors on Tuesday in Abuja.

He added that the ambassadors were to take the message of the party’s campaign manifesto across the country ahead of the coming general election.

Hassan who represented Yobe South in the National Assembly, said  the ambassadors were also expected to mobilise votes nationwide, sensitise voters and preach the message of hope as contained in the party’s manifesto.

“The Renewed Hope Ambassadors of Nigeria is expected to have vote canvassers of 20 people in each of the 176, 846 polling units spread across the six geopolitical zones of the federation.

“This should birth a minimum of 3.5 million votes for the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Sen. Kashim Shettima presidential bid,” he said.

He added that the ambassadors already had structures and co-ordinators in the country’s six zones for effective administration, saying that they would swing into action immediate.

“You will agree with me that our nation is at the point of a significant transition program, the outcome of which will have far-reaching consequences, not only for this generation, but for generations to come.

“Across our towns and inner cities, the need to spread the gospel of renewed hope of Tinubu, our presidential candidate among our people has become ever so necessary ahead of the upcoming elections.

“It is on the heels of this, that the Directorate of Civil Society Organisation which is under the APC PCC thought it worthwhile to convene and inaugurate this group of ambassadors.

“The group will go to all polling units to actualise the renewed hope mandate,” he said.

Hassan expressed optimism that the APC would be victorious in the 2023 general election because of the sacrifice of its teeming supporters.

He charged the party’s members to rise and do something great and meaningful for the country that would secure the future of the coming generations for history to judge them kindly.

Dr Tunji Asaolu, the National Co-ordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors of Nigeria said the APC PCC was working hard to promote Tinubu’s manifesto across the country.

“The ambassadors shall be in all polling units in the country to sensitise eligible voters in line with the Renewed Hope Manifesto of the Tinubu/Shettima presidency ahead of the Feb. 25 presidential election.

“The target of this organisation is to mobilise 20 votes in each of the 176, 846 polling units across the country.

“In view of the above mandate, the directorate through the platform of Renewed Hope Ambassadors of Nigeria shall mobilise, sensitise and canvases voters across the country.

“We will work to convince Nigerians to vote for our presidential candidate Tinubu, as the country’s next president, using the renewed hope blueprint as a tool for a greater Nigeria,” Hassan said.

Earlier in his address, Mr Okpokwu  Ogenyi, the National Secretary, Renewed Hope Ambassadors of Nigeria, urged its co-ordinators to work hard and show dedication with strong conviction to deliver on their mandate.

“We have agreed as a people that we shall mobilise at least 20 votes in each polling unit across the country.

“We will mobilise a minimum of 3.5 million votes for the Tinubu-Shettima presidential ticket come Feb. 25,” Ogenyi said. (NAN)
