A freedom fighter group, Biafra Nations League (BnL) has been accused of attacking a speed boat conveying oil equipment at Abana in Bakassi Peninsula.

CONVERSEER learned that the explosion left a sailor and two BIR Delta dead.

According to sources, the attack was being carried out by a Militant group suspected to be Black Marine.

One of the sources said the militant group is suspected to be an affiliate of the Biafra Nations League.

“At about 11:00 a.m. today (Friday, October 14, 2022), the group threw IEDs (improvised explosive devices) after double-crossing the boat.

“They fled shortly before the blast”, the source said.

Our Reporter further gathered that the authorities in Cameroon have beefed up security around the borders following the attack.

Recall that BnL has insisted that its men will not allow free exploration of oil in the Gulf of Guinea.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has said the nation will strengthen its security in the Gulf of Guinea.
