BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department has announced two arrests in connection with the murder of 20-year-old Nehemiah Wren.
Wren was fatally shot on Monday, January 13, 2025, in the 4100 block of 46th Avenue North.
The suspects have been identified as 26-year-old Landon Jones III, a Black male from Tarrant, Alabama, and a 17-year-old juvenile.
On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Birmingham Police detectives presented the case information to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.

Following a thorough review, detectives secured warrants for capital murder against both suspects.
The Birmingham Police Department’s Special Operations Bureau Tactical Unit apprehended the suspects on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in the 2000 block of Woodrow Avenue in Tarrant, Alabama.
Both suspects are currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
