The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on eligible voters in Oyo State to vote for its governorship and House Assembly candidates on March 11 to complete the process of national rebirth.

This is contained in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Mr Olawale Sadare, on Wednesday in Ibadan.

Sadare urged the people to complete the process of complete national rebirth by voting for the APC candidates in the governorship and House of Assembly elections on March 11.

According to him, voters across the country, especially those in the state are heroes of democracy.

Sadare eulogised INEC, as well as other stakeholders, for their determination to deepen the nation’s democracy through free and fair conduct of election against all odds as witnessed in recent times.

“We are proud to congratulate the President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu and indeed, everyone that contributed in one way or the other to the feat recorded by our great party on Feb. 25.

“Providence has again spoken in favour of the former Lagos State Governor, who qualifies as the best democrat in the country today and there is no doubting the fact he deserves his recent victory.

“It must be established that Nigerians have shown to the world that democracy has come to stay.

“The build-up to the election and its conduct generated interest and participation from all,” he said.

The APC spokesperson said such indicated that the mandate given to Tinubu was a popular one coming from majority of voters who participated in the electoral process nationwide.

He said all hands must be on deck to facilitate the process of consolidation and national rebirth now that a winner had emerged.

“Tinubu has all it takes to deliver on the promise of improved security, economic revival, national integration, infrastructure uplift, turnaround in the education sector, among other things.

“He would assemble a team of best brains from the nooks and crannies of the country with a view to making Nigeria a country we can all be proud of as quickly as possible.

“We use this medium to applaud all patriots in the state who stood their ground and ensure victory for Tinubu as well as most candidates of our party in the last weekend election,” Sadare said.

He urged them to complete their heroic circle by voting massively for the party’s governorship candidate, Folarin and all the House of Assembly candidates in the March 11.

Sadare said that the state could not afford to be in the hands of an opposition party during Tinubu’s tenure as the president. (NAN)
