When the Bible said “he who finds a wife…”, we all witnessed that on Monday, March 6, 2023, when an ex-beauty queen, Edidiong Ebigwai was celebrated by her husband, Mcdpippu Toni Ebigwai in Calabar.

As a man that knows how to give his wife a good treat, Mcdpippu, an On-Air Personality (OAP) with Correct 97.3FM Calabar stole the headlines with his swagger-liked birthday package.

Maybe, Edidiong must have been filled with birthday wishes in the other room but the scream when she heard the saxophone (from Ani Sax) with a sweet sweet voice (from Pedro Peters) singing her a birthday song blew her mind.

Uke of Hit 95.9FM Calabar tricking her in was one of the highest surprises one could ever get, coupled with a flawless MC by Cinie of Sparkling 92.3FM Calabar – what else could one imagine in such a fragrance birthday?

Even if you have a million reasons not to get married, witnessing what transpired at the Back House Lounge Calabar on Monday will make you change your mind in a second. All these, courtesy of Mcdpippu, who showed the world how strong the love in their marriage of about 3 years has grown.

“I want to sincerely appreciate everyone here. Today (March 6) is my wife’s birthday, and despite the economic situation, I have gathered you all here to celebrate my wife – even though I did not give you anything.

“Edidiong Ebigwai, today I am celebrating you, the love of my life, my wife, my everything – and I want to tell you all that she’s been a blessing since we got married.

“I call her my ‘Special One’. Although money is important, I want to let you know that people are most important than money – and, I have people.

“The people you’re seeing here, are here to let you know that I am rich – in people. I want to thank God for a special day like this and I pray and wish for more to come your way as I celebrate you”, Mcdpippu said in a heartwarming birthday message to his wife, Edidiong.

In her remarks, Edidiong who was perplexed from the time she heard the saxophone to the time she was handed over the floor, said she’s never had a day as beautiful as the 6th of March 2023.

“I want to say thank you so much. I wasn’t expecting this. Before this time, my husband has planned to buy me a birthday gift and that was going to be an ironing table because I love ironing but at some point, I asked him not. I just said let us keep it lowkey, stay indoors because of the ongoing economic crisis, only for Uke to say ‘I am taking you out, get dressed’, I was like okay – only for me to come and meet all these beautiful and handsome people here. You all are amazing people.

“I want to say that for making out time, bringing out the resources, the love, energy to come and celebrate me tonight – you will not fall short of celebrations, everything you put your hand in will indeed prosper will good results, your life will not only be blessed but other people around you will be blessed because of you and may God order your steps even as you move from here tonight”, she said.

Edidiong who expressed love and appreciation for her husband said “I love you so much, my darling husband”, as they kissed and hug in a warm embrace.

Highlights of the birthday celebration include a sax performance from Ani Sax, a birthday song from Pedro Peters and a dance from Uke, Happiness and the celebrant, Mrs Ebigwai.

Those who graced the birthday are Daiok of Correct FM, Kelvin Obambon of The Paradise News, OAP Professor Aboki Wazobia, Kennedy, and a host of others.
