Essien Ayi FC have defeated Bayelsa United FC to reach the round of 32 of the 2023 National FA Cup.
The Calabar-based club, CONVERSEER reported beat the Yenagoa side 5-4 on penalties on Wednesday (April 26).
The round 64 match had ended 1-1 (one all) on normal play time before Essien Ayi FC stole the win on penalties (5-4) against their opponent, Bayelsa United to progress to round 32.
The match was played at 2:00pm at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba (Abia State) and streamed LIVE on Facebook via Bayelsa United FC.
Bayelsa United is a Premier League club playing in the Nigerian Profession Football League (NPFL) while Essien Ayi FC is in the Amateur Division, Nationwide League One (NLO).
