Godwin Offiono of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated the seating Reps Member of the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, Hon. Jude Ngaji to emerge winner of the Saturday, February 25, 2023 National Assembly election.
Godwin Offiono edged his closest rival, Ngaji with 36,642 votes to win the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency.
Jude Ngaji who is the seating Reps Member came second after scoring a total of 32,964 – a very close call indeed.
Declaring the winner, the returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Dr Wokaso Eni Ofem, said “…I hereby certified that, Offiono Godwin Odey Ekpo of PDP, having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared winner and returned elected”.
Godwin Offiono will represent the people of Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly for the next 4 years.
