…hails Papa Dorncklaimz Enamhe, Who is Who in Northern Cross River for initiating the process

A group known as Cross River Indigenes Development Association (CRIDA), Abuja has lauded Governor Bassey Otu’s swift response and citizen-focused governance approach following the recent repatriation of the remains of the Late Nigerian Senate President, Senator (Dr) Joseph Wayas.

The group commended the Governor’s actions and urged for the sustainability of such a proactive approach in all spheres of affairs in the state.

Addressing the press after her monthly meeting at the Cross River State Liaison Office, Asokoro, Abuja, the Chairman, Comrade Dickson Sankara Umu Unung expressed solidarity with Governor Otu and the people of the State, particularly Cross River North in the aftermath of the repatriation of Dr Wayas’s corpse after almost 3years in the United Kingdom.

Comrade Sankara equally highlighted the proactive leadership of the Convener, Who is Who in Northern Cross River (WWNCR), Papa DornClaimz Enamhe for initiating the process and appreciated his all-inclusive efforts in ensuring that all hands are on deck in bringing back home the body of Dr Joseph Wayas.

Sankara remarked, “As an indigene of Bassang, Obanliku LGA, I am a political son and an apostle of the Late Dr Joseph Wayas, the former Senate President and Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. CRIDA is happy that his corpse has been repatriated to Nigeria. It is a thing of joy and I commend His Excellency, Gov Otu and all those who played a role, particularly the Who is Who in Northern Cross led by DC Enamhe.”

Comrade Sankara also has asked the federal government to accord Wayas’s funeral a national honour and immortalise him by naming a national monument after him for serving Nigeria meritoriously during his lifetime as Senate president from 1978 to 1983 and acting president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Wayas died about 33 months ago in a London hospital, in the United Kingdom.
