Calabar, Nigeria – The issue of Driver’s Licence is yet to go away as Nigerians are erring their displeasure over the Licence Office’s poor services over time.

Taking to social media to err the incompetence of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the office responsible for issuing licences, Tom Alims, an influencer said he’s been waiting for about six months to get his Driver’s Licence.

Meanwhile, this same office expects Nigerians to have everything in their vehicles, including a small hand towel or similar items.

Alims who started a thread on Facebook on Wednesday, wrote:

“How long did you wait to get your valid Driver’s Licence?

“I’ve been waiting since June 2024.

“I asked the Officer at the office today why the delay, he had no answer to give. He only said “It will be out by end of January 2025,” but he revalidated my temporary license until March 2025.

“Make I put hope for January, abi make I just forget about this thing until any year wey e go come?

“FRSC, you can do better.”

The thread has generated lots of comments, with Moses Ogri, a fashion designer, saying he got his licence three months before the expiry date the last time.

“The last license I did, I got it 3 months to the expiration date.

“This year, I decided to drive without a license. I no Dey do gentleman like that anymore,” Ogri wrote.
