Ohafia war dance emanated from Ebonyi State, Igbo speaking state in South Eastern Nigeria, West Africa.
Only males are initiated into the Ohafia war dance.
They are practically young and vibrant males with the energy of that of a lion.
The dance is a special dance and is only performed on special occasions.

It is also performed during wars (when two or more communities are fighting).
Only privileged people are allowed to watch the dance.
The leader always carries an ark on his head. Where he leads, others follow.
