One of the victims of the Bus/Train mishap that occurred on Thursday morning in the Ikeja axis of Lagos state has narrated what led to the accident.
The victim who is one of the few survivors said they were shouting at the driver to slow the vehicle but the overzealous driver said he wanted to beat the train.
“My sister is involved in the train accident, she said it’s their staff bus taking staff to work and they were shouting at the driver but he couldn’t listen he wanted to beat the train.
“She said a lot of people died instantly. She only sustained a minor injury so help me thank Almighty God. I’m on my way to visit her at the LASUTH where they took them to”, Okubanjo Kehinde, a brother to one of the victims narrated his sister’s story.

Kehinde who tweeted back after visiting the hospital said: “No space at LASUTH…so they are being transferred to other General Hospitals. My sister is getting transferred to Orile Agege General Hospital”.

According to reports, several casualties were recorded.
