Iran, under the management of Carlos Queiroz, has named one of the strongest 25-man squads the country has ever had ahead of the November 20, 2022, FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Iran will enter the World Cup for the third time in a row with the goal of advancing past the group stage for the first time ever.
In Russia four years ago, Carlos Queiroz’s team put on a promising performance, placing third in a group that included African representatives Morocco as well as European powerhouses Spain and Portugal.

This time, they were placed in Group B together with England, Wales, and the USA, and they will be cautiously optimistic given their rivals’ dismal performance thus far in the competition.
