The Speaker, Kwara House of Assembly, Mr Yakubu Salihu, has expressed grief over the death of the Ohoro of Shao, Oba (Dr) Salman Bamidele Adegbite.
This is contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, !r Sheu Yusuf on Thursday in Ilorin.
The speaker noted that the death of the Ohoro of Shao is a great loss not only to the Shao town but also to the entire Kwara state, praying to Allah to accept the return of the traditional ruler.
“The news of the demise of the Ohoro of Shao has come to us as a rude shock, Inaa liLlahi waina ilehi rajiun!
”The late Ohoro of Shao was a great ruler who prioritised the love and welfare of his people and did his best to bring development and sustained peace in Shao land among many laudable feats recorded during his reign.
“Our condolences go to the immediate family of Adegbite and the entire people of Shao, may Allah forgive and bless the soul of late Oba Adegbite with Aljanat Firdaos, Aameen,” Yusuf said. (NAN)
