The Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) has begun the test running of the Iju and Adiyan waterworks for enhanced water service delivery.
This is contained in a statement by the corporation’s Managing Director, Engr. Muminu Badmus, on Tuesday in Lagos.
Badmus said that the completion of the rehabilitation was embarked upon by the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
“Some areas are likely to begin to experience huge leakages as a result of increase in pressure while area that has not received water supply in a long-time will experience.
“Following this development, the corporation has launched dedicated numbers to report areas or communities in the state that are experiencing availability of water, burst pipes, leakages and any act of vandalism.
“The dedicated numbers are 07045973012, 07045973013,” he said.
He also urged residents to call the corporation’s dedicated numbers to make complaints, comments and enquiries on water and other related issues.
“Our experienced and dedicated staff are at alert to respond to any leaks, burst, queries or enquiries.
“We thank you all our esteemed customers for your continuous patience, understanding, cooperation and support, particularly, during the period of water scarcity.
“The corporation assure you of improved and sustained service delivery to the residents in the state,” Badmus said. (NAN)
