Like we did in Zambia, Nigerians should vote for Peter Obi – Fmr AU Youth President

Former African Union, AU Youth President, Joseph Kalimbwe has called on Nigerians to vote out failure by voting for Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election.

Kalimbwe in a tweet on Tuesday compared the momentum of Obi with that of the current president of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema.

He said Peter Obi is galvanising the youths just like Zimbabwe’s Nelson Chamisa.

“There’s a guy in Nigeria called Peter Obi. You can compare him to our UPND leader, President Hichilema, or with Chamisa. He is galvanising youths but the establishment has written him off for a Twitter President. African Youths; like we did here in Zambia, vote out failures!!!”, Kalimbwe said in a tweet.

He said those calling Obi social media president will be shocked come 2023.

“Those who said our UPND leader, President Hichilema was a Twitter President are now out of power. The same narrative is used against Chamisa & Peter Obi of Nigeria. What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground is shifting beneath them. Social media does win elections!!!”, Kalimbwe said in another tweet on Thursday.

Kalimbwe, who is also a member of the ruling United Party for National Development, UPND, author, and political activist, called on Nigerians and Zimbabweans to rise to the task of kicking out bad leaders and putting in good ones.

“Zambia did it. Lesotho did it today. Zimbabwe, Nigeria be Next!!!”, his earlier tweet stated.
