Court remands 2 motorcyclists for alleged breach of trust, cheating

A 45-year-old man, Endurance Jagun, who allegedly dropped charms at the office door of a complainant, on Monday appeared before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

Jagun is standing trial on a two-count charge bordering on threat to life and causing a breach of peace

He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges before Magistrate L J.k Layeni.

The Prosecutor, Dr Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 27, at the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, LASU Project in Ojo.

Uche alleged that the defendant who had a misunderstanding with the complainant, one Mr Adekunle Adeshina, resorted to threatening his life.

The prosecutor said that to make good his threat, the defendant allegedly dropped charms at the office door of the complainant but was apprehended.

Uche said that the defendant also conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of public peace following his acts.

The offences contravene the provision of sections 56 and 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015

The court, however, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.

He adjourned the case until May 10, for trial. (NAN)
