On Saturday, January 4, a new parish of the Patriarchate of Alexandria was formally established in Bugiri, with the Baptism of 17 catechumens, including both children and adults, reports the site Uganda Orthodox Church.
After the service, Fr. Chrysostomos Koolya encouraged the newly baptized to carry the light of Christ to others: “You now carry the beacon of truth and are urged to use it to enlighten the whole town of Bugiri and expand the community. By following Jesus Christ, you are expected to walk in the straight path by standing against darkness.”
