Ahead of the May 29th swearing-in ceremony, a community-based group in Bakassi, the Great Cabal Organization, has congratulated the incoming governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, on his election victory and swearing-in ceremony.
The statement in a letter signed by the Organisation’s Chairman, Edet Bassey and Secretary, Ette Effiom, said the victory of the incoming Governor of Cross River State gives the Bakassi people renewed faith in the system.
“It gives us renewed faith in the system to see that the right person won”, the letter read in part.
They further expressed the belief that the incoming Governor will continue to work for improved programmes in Bakassi Local Government Area and Ikang in particular while assuring of their full support.

“We felicitate with you and congratulate you on your recent electoral victory and onward swearing-in ceremony billed for 29th May 2023. This victory evidently acknowledges your exceptional services to the community, as well as our trust in you.
“It gives us renewed faith in the system to see that the right person won, we are overjoyed working closely with you for the past few months which helped us to understand and value your level of commitment.
“We trust that you will continue to work for improved programmes in Bakassi Local Government Area and Ikang in particular; please be responsive that you have our full support.
“We wish you the best as you are about to start this wonderful journey of your political career”, the letter of felicitation read.
