CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – The Media Team of Rt. Hon. Orok Duke PhD, Commissioner representing Cross River State at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Board, has joined family, friends and colleagues to celebrate him on his birthday, 24th July 2025.
In a series of goodwill messages, Dr Duke was described as a visionary leader, accomplished scholar, and devoted public servant whose commitment to service continues to inspire many.

Kelvin Obambon wished him “a super happy birthday” describing him as “a great scholar, political avatar, community leader and consummate democrat,” while Josephine Effanga praised his “inspiring journey of excellence, kindness and unwavering dedication,” praying for joy, renewed strength and fulfilment of noble dreams.

David Effiong Ekarika called him “Otuekong Atakpa Ikot Effiom” and prayed for wisdom, strength, long life and good health. Dr J. I. Ofem referenced Jeremiah 29:11, praying for God’s guidance and peace in his life.

Mark H. Eneng lauded his resilience and achievements, highlighting his “hard work, persistence and consistent recreation of various endeavours.” For Missang Akpet, Dr Duke is “a dedicated public servant whose passion, vision and commitment to serving others inspire many.”

Efio-Ita Nyok PhD wished him health, wealth and soundness of mind, while Deborah-Oyo E. Oyo hailed his “legacy of impact” and prayed for greater platforms to showcase his political expertise. Orok Duke celebrated not just his age but the people he serves.

Amb. Ukorebi Esien described him as a “24/7 leader who embodies tireless service, bold leadership and unwavering dedication,” referencing his symbolic birth date of 24/7.

Hon. Prince Ita Nyoki from Bakassi LGA described him as “the voice of the south” and an inspiration to NDDC’s mission, while journalist Frank Ulom prayed for long life, prosperity, wisdom and strength to keep delivering impactful service.

The Media Team said Dr Duke’s representation on the NDDC Board has brought “testimonies upon testimonies” for Cross River State, reaffirming their support and celebrating his outstanding leadership and achievements.
As Orok Duke celebrated his birthday, the whole state stood still as goodwill messages overwhelmed the social space.
