A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Afam Osigwe, has been elected President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
Osigwe, the former Secretary-General of the NBA, won the most votes in the 2024 NBA online election.
Osigwe secured 20,395 votes, defeating Tobenna Erojikwe, who received 10,970 votes, and Chukwuka Ikwuazom, SAN, who garnered 9,007 votes.

Mrs Bridget Ijeoma Edokwe emerged as the association’s Publicity Secretary. The voting, which began at midnight on Saturday, concluded at 1:59 pm, with real-time results displayed for all positions.
Osigwe will succeed the outgoing NBA President, Yakubu Maikyau, SAN.
