Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Chief Joseph Tegbe, has partnered with an NGO, AOD Foundation, to organise a two-day free medical outreach within the senatorial district.
A statement issued by Tegbe’s Media Team in Ibadan on Tuesday, said that the medical outreach, under the auspices of Tegbe Foundation, would hold between Wednesday and Thursday, opposite St. Cyprian’s Catholic Church, Parde Junction, Oke-Offa area of Ibadan.
The Executive Director of the foundation, Mr. Femi Adeleke, said that the medical outreach would involve the testing, medications and follow-up treatment, including paid hospital referrals for some diseases.
Adeleke listed the diseases to include: malaria, typhoid, blood sugar, blood pressure, arthritis, skin issues, hepatitis, HIV, eye tests as well as dental examination and care.
The executive director urged those having the above-listed diseases to take advantage of the medical outreach to get themselves screened and treated.
The statement further stated that the medical outreach was a demonstration of Tegbe’s avowed commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of the people of Oyo South senatorial district and the entire state.
“Tegbe is a man well-loved by his people because of his commitment to their welfare and wellbeing.
“This is why he, under the aegis of Tegbe Foundation, has decided to partner with AOD Foundation to organise the medical outreach where people with various diseases will be screened and treated.
“The programme will also include follow-treatment and paid hospital referrals for people with some of the diseases,” the statement said.
It urged the people of the senatorial district to reciprocate the gesture by voting en masse for Tegbe at the forthcoming general elections to deliver more dividends of democracy. (NAN
