Photos: Trump Appoints Major Hollywood Stars to New Roles

President-elect Donald Trump announced Hollywood superstars Mel Gibson, Jon Voight, and Sylvester Stallone as his “special ambassadors” to Hollywood on Thursday, promising to bring back the “Golden Age of Hollywood.”

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California.”

Trump explained that Voight, Gibson, and Stallone will serve as special envoys “for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK—BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”

The president-elect said the three Hollywood superstars will be his “eyes and ears” and pledged that he would “get done what they suggest.” Trump added, “It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!”

According to Fox News, Stallone recently described Trump as the “second George Washington” while introducing him at the American First Policy Institute Gala, which was held in November.

“We are in the presence of a really mythical character. Nobody in the world could have pulled off what he pulled off, so I’m in awe,” the 78-year-old Hollywood star said at the time. “When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was going to change the world because, without him, you could imagine what the world would look like. Guess what? We’ve got the second George Washington. Congratulations!”

Following Trump’s landslide victory in the 2024 presidential election, 86-year-old Voight shared a video message on social media to celebrate Trump’s victory. In the video message, Voight described Trump as “our hero” and the “greatest president.” “I’m so proud to call him my president,” Voight added.

During the 2024 presidential election, Gibson supported Trump, telling reporters, “I don’t think it’s going to surprise anyone who I vote for.” The 69-year-old actor and director also criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, saying that she had the “IQ of a fence post.”

Pictures of Stallone, Gibson, and Voight were shared on social media by media personality Eric Daugherty alongside Trump’s special envoy announcement on Thursday.
