Dr Godwin Adaje Agbor (born 20 October 1976) is a Nigerian medical practitioner and medical Director of Omega Clinic and Maternity, Okundi, Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Dr Agbor hails from Utugwang, Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria.
Education
Dr Godwin Agbor (KSM) attended St. Paul Primary School, Ukpada-Utugwang, Obudu LGA (1989).
He proceeded to Community Secondary School, Utugwang, for his junior secondary school education between 1989 and 1992 and completed his senior secondary education at Federal Science College, Ogoja, in 1995.
He obtained M.B.B.CH degree in Medicine and Surgery in the University of Calabar in 2010. He did his housemanship job with the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, FCT in 2011, before proceeding into private practice, business and politics.
Career
Dr Agbor began his career as a medical practitioner in 2011 where he established a private Clinic with main branch in Okundi and Sub-branch in Katchuan, Irruan, all in Boki LGA. He is a member of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), member of Guild of Medical Directors and member of Association of General and Private Medical Practitioner of Nigeria (AGPMPN), where he is serving as the secretary of Cross River State Chapter.
He began his political life as the pioneer ward secretary of All Peoples Party (APP) in Utugwang South Ward in Obudu LGA in which he donated a building for its Ward Secretariat. He was actively involved in students’ activism and Unionism while in University of Calabar: He was an active and vibrant member of Utugwang Students Association and Obudu Students Association Worldwide. He was appointed as the Eleco Secretary of Calabar University Medical Students Association (CUMSA). He served as the Chairman of APC reconciliation committee in Utugwang South Ward.
Dr Agbor is also the former All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer for Obudu State Constituency in the 2020 Cross River State House of Assembly By-election, Supervisor of APC Membership Registration in 2021, APC Aspirant for Obudu State Constituency in 2023 as well as the party stakeholder in Utugwang South Ward, Obudu LGA.
Currently, he is the Chairman of the Obudu LGA Anti-Quackery Committee. He has ventured into different businesses including Housing and Agro-business.
Humanitarian Service and Awards
Dr Agbor’s commitment in humanitarian service has earned him award from Calabar Provincial Council of Catholic Men Organization (CMO). He has been providing free medical services to many people and is partnering with different Non-Governmental Organization (NGOs) to bring effective medical services in his community. He voluntarily constructed the road leading to his community that was abandoned by successive Governments for over thirty (30) years.
On 20th June 2025, he received an award of honour in recognition of “Excellent Service to Humanity” by the University of Calabar Students Union Government (UNICAL SUG), led by the outgoing president, Mrs Blessing Alims-Ojisor.
Personal Life
Dr Agbor is a Christian and a Knight in Catholic Church. He is married and blessed with kids.
