A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain in Oyo State, Chief Joseph Tegbe, has urged Muslims to use the Ramadan period to deepen their faith and remember the needy and the less privileged in society.
Tegbe stated this in his Ramadan message issued in Ibadan on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayers and reflections.
“As the holy month of Ramadan begins, I want to extend my warmest greetings and wishes to all our Muslim brothers and sisters.
“May this month be filled with blessings, forgiveness and spiritual renewal for you and your loved ones,” he said.

Tegbe, who was the PDP candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in the just-concluded general elections, also, said that Ramadan is a time for reflection, prayer and acts of charity.
“Let us all take this opportunity to deepen our faith and strengthen our bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood,” he said.
While wishing the Muslim faithful a blessed Ramadan, filled with peace, joy and spiritual growth, he urged them to also remember the less privileged and extend hands of fellowship to the needy in society. (NAN)
