Rovers FC Complete Medicals On Players, Get Clean Health Status

Rovers Football Club of Calabar has been given a clean bill of health after all its players underwent and passed routine medical checks ahead of the commencement of the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League (NNL).

The checks which took place, Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the General Hospital, Calabar in Cross River State were carried out on all retained and newly-recruited players of the club.

According to the Chairman of the Club, Mr Ebam Ejen, who was on hand to witness the exercise, “This exercise is aimed at ensuring that all our players who are going to be participating in the upcoming 2023/2024 NNL are medically certified fit to do so.ç

“At Rovers Football Club, over the years, we have been known to pay priority attention to the wellbeing of our players and this year is not going to be any different,” Ejen added.

The club was given the all-clear after the results of the assorted tests which were conducted came through, including Echocardiography, COVID-19 test, ECG, Musculoskeletal System, Cardiovascular System, and Full Blood, among others.

Rovers FC will be campaigning in the 2023/2024 NNL season.

CONVERSEER reports that Rovers FC won nine and drew one in 10 pre-season matches, scoring a total of 37 goals and conceding only three.
