Calabar, Nigeria – The Special Adviser to the Governor Bassey Otu on Youths Mobilisation, Comrade Dan Obo Jnr., was in full participation in the 2024 Cultural Carnival Calabar.
Obo Jnr., like every other, joined his Local Government Area, Obubra, to showcase the diversity of the Nigerian culture.
According to him, “Our cultural diversity is what makes up Nigerians, and it is inherent in us, so if we don’t celebrate and cherish our culture, who will?
“I want to Thank His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, for making this year’s Carnival a world-class and for introducing the Ogoja and Ikom Carnival in the Northern and Central part of the state, which is also gaining momentum. It will only get bigger.”
Flagging the Cultural Carnival on Thursday, December 26, the Governor said this year’s carnival with the theme, ‘Our Shared Prosperity,’ is expected to display the utmost talents.
“I pledged last year to introduce enhancements to our offerings, and I believe we have delivered on that promise,” Otu said, announcing that his administration has augmented the prizes this year to ensure heightened competition, with plans for further enhancements in the upcoming year.
