Political Support Groups for APC Presidential Candidate, Sen. Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to engage in constructive criticism to avoid unnecessary tensions as the general elections drew near.

The groups, Think Tinubu Movement (TTM) and Renewed Hope Ambassadors of Nigeria, made the call at a stakeholders engagement and the launch of a book titled: “The Recount – (An Antidote To Unfair Criticism) – Asiwaju Bola Tinubu”  on Wednesday at Ikeja, Lagos.

The groups advised Nigerians and political stakeholders to promote healthy rivalry for the benefit of all.

Speaking, Dr Tunji Ashaolu, Chairman , Technical Committee, Civil Societies Directorate of the APC, said the menace of trolling and negative criticisms in the political sphere across the country should be nipped in the bud.

Ashaolu, who is also the National Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors of Nigeria said criticism should be considered as a catalyst to propel more greatness in leaders, especially if done in a constructive manner.

He said Tinubu remained a man that had dedicated his life to the service of humanity and God,  adding that he had impacted positively in  the lives of humankind.

According to him, because Tinubu has offered himself to serve the people, l can assure you all that his reign will bring an end to poverty, unemployment, and insecurity in the land.

“He is a listener, a man that nobody can cage or dictate to whatsoever to do,  what is against the people or the rule of law.

“I urge Nigerians to vote for Tinubu and give him the opportunity to rule Nigeria. I assure you, Nigeria will be great again.

In her keynote address, Dr Lillian Ogbole, Coordinator General, Operation Deliver FCT to APC, described criticism as a path that every leader must toll to better serve those he/she had decided to lead and in whatever capacity.

Ogbole said the APC presidential candidate had the ability to be a bridge and bridge the gap bedeviling the country.

“Any leader that is not criticised is not a leader as criticism and greatness go hand in hand.

“The fact that Tinubu is the most criticised among the contenders means he is the winning candidate.

“He is competent, capable, courageous and consistent. All that matters to him is ‘one Nigeria’ irrespective of religion, tribe or class divide,” she said.

Earlier, Mr Segun Balogun-Afolorunikan, the Director General, TTM, said the call became necessary following various unfounded and unfair criticism targeted at Tinubu which was aimed at presenting him in a bad light to Nigerians and the international community.

He spoke on promoting, educating and informing Nigerians most especially the electorates about the unsurpassed attributes that stood Tinubu out as the best presidential candidate.

“Tinubu is a great visionary and an unrivaled political leader of our time in Nigeria.”

On his part, Mr Samuel Soyombo, the Author of the book said he was inspired to write the book because of the way and manner Tinubu had been criticised.

Soyombo described the APC presidential candidate as a political juggernaut and most strategic politician with organic character.

According to him, a vote for  Tinubu, is a vote for prosperity in diversity because in  diversity lies our prosperity. A vote for him is a vote for unity. In unity lies peace. (NAN)
