The Postmaster General (PMG) of the Federation/ CEO of Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Mr Sunday Adepoju says the emergence of President-elect, Sen.Bola Tinubu will advance Nigeria’s digital economy.
The PMG disclosed this on Wednesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) while reacting to Tinubu’s victory at the general election.
He stated that hope was back in the nation with the emergence of Tinubu as president-elect.
“Tinubu will not renege on his promise to rebuild Nigeria.
“His emergence will have positive on all aspects of the Nation’s economy,” he said.
He also said the President-elect would restore security and investors’ confidence in Nigeria.
“ The message is clear, renewed hope. Hope in every aspects of human endeavour.
“ Hope in security because it is the number one thing to tackle to attract investors.
“ For an improved economy, you need a secure environment, Asiwaju is capable.
“ He did it in Lagos and will do the same in Nigeria,” Adepoju said.
He urged Nigerians to expect the best from the president-elect.
“Nigerians should expect that the digital economy growth will triple because he is a leader that is well exposed.
“For instance, when he became the Governor of Lagos State in 1999, the state’s revenue generation was N600 million.
“ Before he left, it was around N8 billion; now Lagos State is coasting home over N50 billion,” Adepoju said.
According to him, Tinubu is on a familiar terrain and he will better the nation.
“Nigerians will be happy with the renewed changes of the administration of the president- elect.
`’Foreign investors will also have confidence in the country because Tinubu is capable.
“The president-elect will build on the good legacies of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration,” Adepoju said. (NAN)
