An entrepreneur and social worker, Mr Alaba Akinlaja, has urged the House of Representatives-elect from Ondo State to uphold the tenets of democracy and the constitution and work for the uplift of the downtrodden in their respective constituencies.
Akinlaja, in a congratulatory message to all the federal lawmakers-elect on Thursday in Akure, said that policies and programmes to better humanity should be their cardinal focus.
He advised them to play their constitutional responsibilities and put national interests before their individual political interests.
According to him, elected positions are time-bound and should be explored as a platform to build a good legacy for the positive transformation of society.
