The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, in the February 25, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly election has assured Nigerians that victory is on its way.
Obi who said the people will lift their hands in victory like boxing champions, Anthony Joshua and Isreal Adesanya, stated this on Monday, April 10, 2023.
In a tweet, Obi also stated that Nigerians can only fight as one following the challenges facing the nation.

He lauded Anthony Joshua and Isreal Adesanya for defeating Jermaine Franklin and Alex Pereira to become boxing champions.
His tweet read in full: “The latest victories recorded by Nigeria’s boxing champions; @anthonyjoshua & Isreal Adesanya @stylebender bring to bare the true resilient spirit of Nigerians. Both champions persevered in their efforts and bounced back to reclaim their crowns- that is the true Nigerian spirit.
“With all the challenges facing our nation on all fronts, we can only fight on as one united people. It has been dark for so long, but Nigeria’s morning will surely come, if we do not give up. And like our boxing champions, we shall lift our hands in victory. -PO”

Recall that Obi and the Labour Party had claimed they won the 2023 presidential election but the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC announced Bola Tinubu of All Progressives Congress, APC as the winner.
He is pursuing the matter in court.
