Here are the Top 10 predictions for the debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
1. This will be the most scripted debate in modern history like much of Biden’s presidency. He set the rules for the debate, so I’d expect it to feel scripted.
2. Biden will exceed expectations. When the bar is set so low for someone, all they have to do is exceed that low bar and it will be a ‘win.’
3. Trump may announce his VP pick today/tonight to throw off Biden who spent a week preparing for the debate.
4. Biden will aggressively go after Trump on abortion, J6, ‘convicted felon’, and will mention the ‘fine people’ hoax.
5. Trump will aggressively go after Biden on illegal immigration and the weaponised justice system.
6. The new mic cutoff that CNN installed will actually help Trump more than people think. Trump’s best tactic against Biden is just letting Biden talk.
7. CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will appear more ‘balanced’ than people expect but will interrupt Trump more to ‘keep him on track.’
8. Biden will be incredibly prepared. He had about a whole week in Camp David to prepare. With the mic cut off, this will almost feel like a speech at points.
9. Trump will approach the debate with a softer tone than previous debates which will help him win some Americans over.
10. The debate really won’t matter much in the long run. We are over 4 months from the election. The debate won’t be fresh in Americans’ minds on Election Day.
BONUS: Trump will 100% target the moderators for being biased.
