Popular Nigerian ‘prankster’, Mr Ubani Zion Chibuike (AKA ZFancy), has been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
Converseer learned that ZFancy was arrested on Thursday morning by the NPF National Cybercrime Centre at an apartment in Wuye, Abuja.
According to a statement signed by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force PRO Abuja, the arrest follows the circulation of accusatory videos on social media, in which ZFancy was alleged to have committed heinous crimes, including rape.
The statement said these videos caused significant apprehension among social media users.
However, ZFancy came out and claimed the videos were scripted and part of his attempt to regain the spotlight after a break.
