Vice President Kamala Harris has alleged that JD Vance supports nationwide abortion.

Harris stated this in a post on X on Monday shortly after Republican Party hopeful, Donald Trump picked Vance as his Vice President for the 5th November 2024 U.S. presidential election.

The Vice President, who is of the Democrat Party, also accused Vance of voting to block protections for in-vitro fertilisation (IVF).

“J.D. Vance supports a nationwide abortion ban and voted to block protections for IVF.

“@JoeBiden and I need you in our corner to ensure that Donald Trump and J.D. Vance do not turn back the clock on our progress,” Harris post read.

Converseer reports that Trump announced Vance on Truth Social, saying, “After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio.”

Trump’s post added “J.D. honourably served our Country in the Marine Corps, graduated from Ohio State University in two years, Summa Cum Laude, and is a Yale Law School Graduate, where he was Editor of The Yale Law Journal and President of the Yale Law Veterans Association. J.D.’s book, “Hillbilly Elegy,” became a Major Best Seller and Movie, as it championed the hardworking men and women of our Country. J.D. has had a very successful business career in Technology and Finance.”

The 39-year-old is married to Usha Vance, who is a fellow Yale Law School graduate.
