The Toronto Police Service is advising the public of an arrest made in a sexual assault investigation.
Officers investigated a Sexual Assault that occurred on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 6 p.m., at Finch Subway Station, in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue area.
It is reported that: “A woman was walking on the second floor of the TTC station towards the Yonge and Finch east side exit, and a man was walking in the same hallway; the man sexually assaulted the victim and then walked off northbound in the station.
On Monday, September 2, 2024, the suspect was identified and arrested.
Shemar Dyer, 26, of Toronto has been charged with: Sexual Assault.
He was scheduled to attend the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West on Monday, September 2, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 106.
