Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu has charged the people of Imo State to brace up for the reelection of Governor Hope Uzodinma for a second term come November 2023.

Governor Otu stated this in Owerri on Saturday (Sept. 16), while speaking as the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council at the inauguration of the Council for the reelection of Governor Uzodinma, who he pointed out has performed creditably well to deserve the People’s mandate for a second term.

Governor Otu also pledged his total commitment to the campaigns with all sense of humility, adding that he had accepted the responsibility to deliver the reelection bid of Governor Hope Uzodinma in order to justify the confidence reposed in him by the National leadership of the APC and called for all hands to be on deck in view of the huge weight of the task ahead.

The inauguration of the National Campaign Council, which took place at Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu’s Square in Owerri, Imo State Capital, brought together APC political heavyweights, Party supporters, business Associates, great Sons and Daughters of Imo State in a show of strong solidarity and commitment to securing Governor Uzodinma’s second term.

The Cross River State Governor reiterated the importance of APC retaining Imo State, being one of the two APC States in the South East of the country and sued for the sustenance of the current unity in the party and unwavering commitment of the leadership as exemplified by the presence of high calibre personalities to witness the inauguration.

The National Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abdulahi Ganduje, while performing the inauguration, thanked Governor Otu for accepting to lead the Imo State National Campaign Council and expressed confidence in his capacity to deliver on the mandate of the Council.

Alhaji Ganduje called on Imo people to vote APC again to enable Governor Hope Uzodinma to complete the good works he has started in all nooks and crannies of the State.

The National Chairman of APC was accompanied to the inauguration by members of the National Executive Committee of the Party, APC Zonal Leadership and other party stalwarts to the Campaign Council inauguration which signals the beginning of robust campaigns for the Governorship elections which have been scheduled for 11th November 2023 in Imo State.
