A 7.5 magnitude earthquake has struck Taiwan, rocking the whole island and even causing several buildings to collapse.
The earthquake triggered a tsunami warning of up to 10 feet from Japan.
“Tsunami is coming. Please evacuate immediately. Do not stop. Do not go back,” said an NHK anchor.
The city of Hualien on the east coast of Taiwan appeared to sustain significant damage. The city was near the epicentre of the earthquake.
